Moving On Up!

Ok guys, you knew this was coming...I've made the plunge. Head over to: SoMoreScene.com for all the emo-flavored goodness.

I Write Sins, Not Fashion

So no one told Panic! that Marie Antoinette casting was over, but no one told this guy that he's not in Panic! at the Disco.

Would Guys Go Gay for Pete Wentz?

So in the last two nights I've had two different straight guys insist that Pete Wentz is a "good looking dude." Like with no hesitation AT ALL. I was totally taken aback...and a little bit terrified. Who knew that the love of Pete would so easily cross genders?

In the meantime, you can check out the Clandestine Industries Warped Tour camera postings on Buzznet.

Cute Is What We Aim For

...but I wish they'd try harder to be Cute Is What We Look Like. :(

Let Them Eat Cake...at the Disco

No one told these poor darlings that Sofia Coppola has stopped casting for her adaptation of Marie Antoinette long long ago.

Meanwhile, ousted Panic bassist Brent Wilson is still dealing with the shock of being kicked out of the band.

Watch that Hand, Wentz

Hey now, watch where you're going! [From the NYLON Music Issue party at Club Element in Hollywood, CA]

[SOURCE: People.com]

Oh and Pete also co-hosted the pre-show for the MTV Movie Awards last week. I was too busy seeing Young Love at The Annex (with members of Gym Class Heroes and Say Anything present), so I missed it. But according to the LJs the highlight of Wentzy's night on the blue carpet was the following quote he said to the 40-Year-Old Virgin's Steve Carell:

"Sooo... it was my birthday what like 5 days ago.. do you have any advice for say a 27 year old virgin?"

Classaaaay!

Watch all of the painful fanboying riiiight here:

In order to set the record straight, Pete answered this question in the section this weekend:

asked by Chelsea on 2006-06-10 22:21:00

Pete, are you a virgin?

answered by peter on 2006-06-11 00:13:00

no way. joe made me turn mad tricks to pay for the recording of evening out with your girlfriend. but i looked good in hooker heels and a powder blue boa.

Some more gems of the Q&A:

asked by Kyri on 2006-06-10 16:16:00

pete, I have this assignment for Language arts and we had to pick a song with a good meaning in the lyrics. I picked a FOB song

Wait a minute--stop right there. Are you laughing as hard as I am? Ok, continue:

...and my teacher was like " I dont get it" What is some advice that I can give to her?

answered by peter on 2006-06-11 00:25:00

Murder City Devils Reunion Show

Today the Murder City Devils have released information about their 1-time reunion show.

The Jay-Z of Emo

Pete Wentz reveals his love of "Project Runway" designer Santino Rice, the best-selling Clandestine Industries item, and his secret fashion weapon--homeless dudes who sew.

Andy Hurley to Receive Lots of Hilarious Voice Mails

Yesterday the phone number of Fall Out Boy drummer Andy Hurley was posted on the internet, probably much to his chagrin. I just think he should be thankful it was just his phone number and not hacked Sidekick photos. You got off easy this time, buddy.

Thanks R.

I Constantly Thank God for Brendon Urie

Freshman year: the Slim Jim man. Sophmore year: AV Squad member. It wasn't until his junior year of high school that Panic! at the Disco's Brendon Urie threw away the braces and the glasses and made way for hotness. But what's up with Brendon being slightly less hot in his senior year? Pouty mouth beats smiley mouth any day.

Sing Along Forever

You ever have one of those nights where you know that about 90% of the sweat covering your skin is not your own? Tonight was one of those nights. I ended up going last minute to go see one of the SIX sold out nights of Bouncing Souls at NYC's Knitting Factory.

Holy. Mother. Of. God. It was all sorts of awesome. Bouncing Souls make some of the most accessible and melodic punk music I've heard. As much as it is loud music for teenage boys to slam dance to, the songs are also incredibly clever in song structure. The tunes sound hard when the BS play them, but if you slowed them down, they could very well pass for some beautiful ballads.

Lead singer Greg Attonito is the consumate front man--dodging flying fans left and right and not even breaking a sweat. And he. was. wearing. a. pink. tie. Amazing.

There was one guy in an Ireland jersey that spent just as much time onstage as the BS band members. Dude was seriously up there every other second, chanting at the audience, grabbing Greg, or preparing to jump back into the crowd.

This is an example of what happens when you invite everyone onstage to a singalong:

Here's a shot of an adorable girl I saw outside the show. When I asked to take her picture she said that she looked bad, but I told her she looked cute. Then she asked me what she should do, and I just said, "Do whatever." Here's the result:

Rock Out with Your Cock Out, Birthday Boy

Happy 27, Senior Wentz.

Just a Reminder...

Gerard Way is still prettier than you...especially with short hair.

And these days My Chemical Romance make the most visually arresting and compelling videos in pop music. Watch "The Ghost of You" and "Helena" for a reminder.

Back at the Record Stores

The Blood Brothers just released an "enhanced" version of their "Love Rhymes with Hideous Car Wreck" EP that features rare and unreleased tracks and remixes--most notably a Blood Brothers remix version of "Anthrax" by Gang of Four.

Relive the moment you realized that the high-pitched voice screaming "love love love love love" was not a woman, but Johnny Whitney.

Cold and Plastic, Just Like My Ex-Boyfriend's Heart

Nothing says "my parents don't trust me at Hot Topic with their credit card" better than a "MYplash" pre-paid cash card with Avril Lavigne's face on it. Good Charlotte and Simple Plan versions also available.

Pete Wentz Is Blowing Up...Like a Doll

Place your orders now for the brand new Pete Wentz RD, as seen on the red carpet of this year's MTV Movie Awards. Your Wentz RD comes clad in Clandestine Industries clothing and comes with a bottle of Manic Panic "Wildfire" hair color, Morrissey poster, and hacked Sidekick.

Welcome to So More Scene

I wanted to start a blog. I wanted it to be scene. But I wanted it to be more scene than just the scene, so that's why it's called SO MORE SCENE--because it's so more scene than you'll ever be.
